Henry Ruggs has formally been sentenced to serve 3 to 10 years in prison for his car crash that killed a Las Vegas woman and her dog in 2021. Ruggs and the prosecutor had agreed to the term length in a plea deal earlier this year. Ruggs will not get credit for time served under house arrest.
DeVonta Smith was excused from Philadelphia Eagles’ practice today to fly to Las Vegas to be present for Ruggs’ sentencing.
Sports Illustrated is reporting that ESPN is promoting Greg McElroy to assume the color analyst role in its second college football booth. McElroy would work with play-by-play announcer Sean McDonough and sideline reporter Molly McGrath on ESPN’s Saturday night football package, and would be in line to do a college football playoff semifinal game.
