Erin Routliffe becomes just the second Alabama Women’s Tennis player to reach a Grand Slam doubles finals. She joins Alexa Guarachi, who was a doubles finalist at the 2020 French Open. Routliffe and partner Gabriela Dabrowski defeated defending French Open championsh Su-wei Hsieh and Xinyu Wang in straight sets (Hsieh had won 16 straight majors doubles matches before today).

Mac Jones was named as a captain for the New England Patriots this season. That brings the total number of Alabama players serving as team captains this season to 13:
