News
John Metchie, who missed the 2022 season while receiving leukemia treatments, finally made his NFL debut today. Metchie was inactive in Week 1 with a hamstring injury, delaying his debut by a week. He caught a 17-yard pass in the closing seconds of Houston’s loss to Indianapolis.
Brian Robinson scored 2 second-half touchdowns to lead Washington to a 35-33 come-from-behind win over Denver. Robinson had career-highs of 42 receiving yards and 129 yards from scrimmage.
Tommy Seidl and Capitales de Quebec won the Frontier League championship tonight with a convincing 12-3 Game 5 win over Evansville. Seidl was 3-for-5 tonight, and his second-inning homer increased the lead from 1-0 to 3-0. For the championship series, Seidl was 9-for-20 (.450 average), with an on-base percentage of .476 and a slugging percentage of .800.
