Jalen Hurts has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 8. Hurts threw for 319 yards and 4 touchdowns in Philadelphia’s 38-31 win over Washington. It’s Hurts’ 3rd time to win the awards (he won twice in 2022).

Erin Routliffe and Gabriela Dabrowski won another straight-set match at the WTA Finals, and have clinched a berth in the semifinals of the WTA’s year-end event.

Levi Wallace is the Pittsburgh Steelers’ nominee for this year’s Salute to Service Award.

Hapoel Jerusalem returned to the court for the first time in over four weeks, and responded with a 99-96 Champions League win over Galatasaray. Levi Randolph scored 20 points in the win. Civil unrest in Israel has resulted in the cancellation of Jerusalem’s first four weeks of Israeli league play, and the team’s Champions League home games have been moved to Belgrade.

Mike Davis releases a statement on the passing of Bob Knight. Davis was an assistant at Indiana under Knight, and succeeded Knight after Knight’s dismissal in 2000.
