J.K. Scott was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 13. Scott punted 8 times on Sunday, with 7 punts placed inside the 20-yard line, and was the primary reason for the Chargers to contol field position all day in a 6-0 win. It’s Scott’s send player of the week award, having also won it in 2022 Week 12.
LPGA’s 6-round Q-Series concluded today, with Polly Mack, Lauren Stephenson, and Benedetta Moresco all earning 2024 tour cards. For Mack and Stephenson, their Q-Series finish improves their 2024 status (both had been relegated to lower categories after finishing 125th and 126th, respectively, in 2023). Moresco, a first-year pro, qualifies for the tour on her first try. Mack, by finishing in the Top 20, will play with a Category 14 exemption, while Stephenson and Moresco get Category 15 exemptions by finishing between 21st and 45th.
Cam Sims, who was released from the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad yesterday, quickly found new work today in Carolina. The Panthers added him to their practice squad after a workout today.
