J.K. Scott had another stellar punting day for the Los Angeles Chargers. Scott’s 5 punt, 54.7 yard average day included an 83 yard punt that is the longest in the NFL this season. The punt is also the longest punt in Chargers franchise history.
With starter Jake Browning being sidelined late in Cincinnati’s game today with a hand injury, AJ McCarron was pressed into duty to finish the game for the Bengals. McCarron took his first NFL snaps since he started for the Houston Texans in the final week of the 2020 season. McCarron’s appearance was almost 8 years from the day that he replaced Andy Dalton as the Bengals’ starter when Dalton broke a bone in his hand and missed the rest of the season.
