Amari Cooper had a career day today, pulling in 11 catches for 265 yards and 2 touchdowns in Cleveland’s 36-22 win over Houston. Cooper’s 265 receiving yards is a career high and a Browns franchise record, and is the most receiving yards in a single game in the NFL this season. Other accomplishments today by Cooper:

  • Cooper, needing 15 yards for 1,000 receiving yards on the season, got 53 yards on the first play from scrimmage. It’s his 7th career 1,000 yard season.
  • Cooper is the first player in Browns history to have 1,000 receiving yards in back-to-back seasons.
  • Cooper is just the second player in NFL history to have 200 receiving yard games for three different teams.
  • Cooper is one of only three players in NFL history to have 4 games of 210+ receiving yards.

Tua Tagovailoa led a game winning scoring drive in the final 3:32, which concluded in a field goal as time expired, to give Miami a 22-20 win over Dallas to clinch a playoff berth. Tagovailoa threw for 293 yards on the day, and eclipsed the 4,000 passing yard mark for the first time in his career. Tagovailoa threw his 26th touchdown pass today, which is also a career high. 

Jaylen Waddle was unavailable for much of today’s game with a shin injury, but did manage to surpass the 1,000 receiving yard mark again. Waddle is the first receiver in Dolphins franchise history to have three consecutive 1,000 receiving yard seasons.

Bryce Young led a frenetic fourth-quarter comeback that included two touchdown drives to tie the Carolina / Green Bay game late, before Green Bay prevailed on a field goal with 19 seconds left. Young posted season / career bests in passing yards and quarterback rating in the game. 

Christian Barmore recorded a career high eight tackles and three sacks for New England in its last-second win.

Derrick Henry threw his fourth career touchdown pass (5th when counting playoffs) today in Tennessee’s game against Seattle.
