AJ McCarron asked for (and received) his release today from the Cincinnati Bengals. McCarron plans to return to the St. Louis Battlehawks of the UFL. McCarron was the starting quarterback for the Battlehawks, then of the XFL, last spring before signing with the Bengals after the latter suffered a string of injuries at the quarterback position.
The Philadelphia Phillies officially announced the signing of Spencer Turnbull to a one-year major league contract today.
Brandon Miller set a new Charlotte Hornets’ franchise record for 3-point goals made by a rookie tonight. Miller’s 4 3-pointers tonight give him 112 on the season, breaking the previous franchise rookie record of 108.
