Daniel Haugh set a new world record in the Men’s Weight Throw at the USATF Indoor Championships with a throw of 26.35 meters. Haugh breaks the record of 25.86 meters, set in 1995. Haugh wins his second straight weight throw national championship, and his third overall.
Shelby McEwen’s strong indoor season continued, as he won his second straight Men’s High Jump championship at the USATF Indoors. McEwen cleared 2.28 meters for the title.
Brandon Miller participated in the Rising Stars game at the NBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis.
Kristian Gkolomeev advanced to the finals in the Men’s 50m Freestyle at the World Aquatics Championships.
Saketh Myneni and partner Ramkumar Ramanathan have advanced to the doubles final at the Bengaluru Open. It’s the second straight finals appearance in as many weeks for the pair, who won the Chennai Open last week.
