Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week – Brandon Miller (April 8, 2024)

Your Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week is Brandon Miller. Miller had a 32-point night in Charlotte’s win over Orlando, including a first half in which he scored 26 points and was a perfect 10-for-10 from the field (including 5-for-5 from behind the arc).

Runner-up this week is Noah Clowney. Clowney posted NBA career highs of 22 points and 10 rebounds in 17 minutes off the bench for Brooklyn in a win over Indiana, and would follow that with a career high 4 blocks in the Nets’ next game.

David Robertson had holds in three consecutive outings and gave up just one base-runner in 3.2 innings pitched.

Spencer Turnbull had 7 strikeouts and allowed just an unearned run in 5 innings in his first start for Philadelphia.

Caden Rose homered in his first professional game.

Brett Auerback was 3-for-8 wtih 3 stolen bases and 2 RBI in his first two games of the season.

Peyton Wilson had a 3-hit game.

Herb Jones had a 15 point, 4 rebound, 3 assist, 3 steal game for New Orleans.

J.D. Davison had two double-doubles (21 points, 11 assists and 19 points, 11 assists) to lead Maine to the G League championship series.

Mykal Riley scored 30 points for Besançon.

Nick King had a 27 point, 20 rebound game for Tainan.

AJ McCarron threw for 248 yards and 2 touchdowns in a comeback win.

Reuben Foster had 6 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and broke up 2 passes.

Ashlynn Serepca scored 2 goals in FC Pinzgau Saalfelden’s win.

Anton McKee finished 3rd in the Men’s 200m Breaststroke at the Stockholm Open, and also made the A Final in the 100m Breaststroke.

Victor Johansson finished 2nd in the Men’s 400m Freestyle and 4th in the Men’s 1500 Freestyle at the Stockholm Open.

Krystal Rivers had a combined 40 points and a 58% attack efficiency in Stuttgart’s semifinals sweep.

Frankie Capan finished T-9th at the Club Car Championship.

Jake Spotswood won the Men’s Pole Vault at the Ebanks Invitational.
