News

Krystal Rivers and Allianz MTV Stuttgart won its 3rd consecutive German Volley Bundesliga championship, and its fourth title in five years, after a 5-match finals win over top-seeded Schwerin today. Stuttgart, which had been down 2-1 in the series, dropped the first set today, then reeled off three set wins to seal the title. Stuttgart swept the league championship, the DVV Pokal Cup, and the Supercup this season. After having never won a league championship through the 2017-18 season, Stuttgart has now won 4 championships and finished second once since signing Rivers.

Jereem Richards and Kirani James both had successful days at the Bermuda Grand Prix today. Richards won a tightly-contested 200 Meter event one week after setting a personal-best in the 100 Meter. James, making his season debut, coasted to an easy win in the 400 Meter, with more than a one-second margin over second place.

Kool-Aid, the beverage brand, will be launching a new flavor named “Black Cherry Blitz” in honor of Kool-Aid McKinstry being drafted in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Taulia Tagovailoa, undrafted in this year’s NFL draft, will reportedly participate in the Seattle Seahawks’ rookie mini-camp on a try-out basis.
