Following his participation in this weekend’s rookie mini-camp on a tryout basis, Anthony Averett was signed to a one-year contract by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Averett last appeared in an NFL game in 2022, and spent some time on the San Francisco and Detroit practice squads in 2023. He has dealt with injuries affecting his availability the past two seasons.
