Hapoel Jerusalem won its second straight Israel State Cup with an 85-72 win over Maccabi Tel Aviv. Levi Randolph had 17 points in the victory.

Jake Walters threw a complete game shut-out for Oaxaco, who defeated Veracruz 1-0. The game included a one-hour delay in the bottom of the 6th inning due to a power failure in the stadium in Veracruz. Walters, who was only at 57 pitches when the delay occurred, was able to resume pitching after play resumed to complete the shut-out. Walters threw 111 pitches.

Alabama sprinters Tarsis de Orogot and Samuel Ogazi have been named to their respective countries’ Olympic teams. Orogot will represent Uganda in the Men’s 200 Meter, while Ogazi will run the Men’s 400 Meter and Mixed 4 x 100 Meter Relay for Nigeria.

Erin Routliffe discusses her one-off doubles pairing with highly-ranked singles star Coco Gauff at the Italian Open, and gives an update on regular partner Gabby Dabrowski’s injury. Routliffe and Gauff have advanced to the semifinals of the event, despite never having played together before and having no time to practice due the Gauff’s deep run in the singles draw.
