The Boston Celtics announced that the team has re-signed J.D. Davison to a two-way contract for the 2024-25 season. Davison was briefly a free agent after Boston declined to make a $1.87 million qualifying offer to Davison in late June, but the team had expressed a desire to retain Davison. The 2024-25 season will be Davison’s 3rd season on a two-way contract, which is the limit allowed under the league’s collective bargaining agreement.
Recent Summer League roster additions include Kira Lewis (Houston), J.D. Davison (Boston), and Jaden Shackelford (Oklahoma City). The Las Vegas Summer League will tip off on Friday.
Vanoli Cremona (Italy) announced that Trevor Lacey will return for the 2024-25 season, which will be Lacey’s third season with the team. Lacey helped the team earn promotion to Serie A1 two seasons ago. After Cremona’s season ended this past season, Lacey signed with Hapoel Jerusalem for playoff depth, but will be returning back to Italy for the upcoming season.
Charlie Nikitas Monday-qualified for the PGA Tour Americas event in New Brunswick. For the second straight Americas event, Nikitas reached a playoff for the final qualifying spot(s), and this week, he advanced in a 5-for-2 playoff.
DeMarcco Hellams hopes to build off a successful rookie campaign and “take the next step” in Year 2.
