Gage Miller and Evan Sleight both made professional debuts tonight. Miller, assigned to the Jupiter Hammerheads, started at second base tonight, and had one at-bat before the game was suspended due to weather. Sleight, who has signed with the Lake Erie Crushers of the Frontier League, started in right field and had three at-bats before the game was shortened due to rain.
John Metchie says his body feels a lot better after recovering from leukemia, and he’s having fun playing football again.
