News

Several former Alabama golfers posted strong weeks at the LPGA’s Portland Classic. Polly Mack’s T-5th finish is her career-best finish in an individual event on the LPGA Tour (she previously had a T-3rd finish at the 2023 Dow Great Lakes, which was a partner event). Jiwon Jeon posted a career-best LPGA Tour finish for the 2nd time in 3 weeks. Her T-9th today is a new best, and her first Top 10 on the LPGA Tour. Emma Talley’s T-15th finish is her best finish on the LPGA Tour this season, and her best finish in an individual event since finishing 8th at the 2022 CP Women’s Open (she also had a T-3rd finish in the 2023 Dow Great Lakes partner event).

Mac Guscette made his professional debut today with the Augusta Green Jackets of the Carolina League.

Margaux Maquet lost in a qualifying round today for the first time this summer. She had previously progressed to the main draw in 6 straight qualifiers this summer.
