Derrick Henry rushed for 151 yards and 2 touchdowns, and produced 174 yards from scrimmage to lead Baltimore to a 28-25 road victory over Dallas.
On the injury front, DeVonta Smith was forced out of the Philadelphia / New Orleans game with a second-half concussion. Smith was hit in the head by a late head-to-head blow from a Saints defender after his forward progress had been stopped on a pass play.
After a couple of runner-up finishes this season, Frankie Capan breaks through for his first professional win at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship. Capan, who had already locked up his PGA Tour card for 2025, will go into the Korn Ferry Tour Championship ranked 5th in points.
With today’s T17 finish, Davis Shore moves up from 81st to 71st in Korn Ferry Tour points, which will get him into the Korn Ferry Tour Championship (Top 75 qualified). Shore is guaranteed status on the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour.
Kristen Gillman posted her second Top 10 finish on the season with a T-9th finish at the Kroger Queen City Championship. Gillman moves into the Top 80 in LPGA standings which, if it holds up, would get her into more events on the LPGA calendar. Polly Mack’s T-14th finish moves her into the Top 100, which would mean that she could avoid going back to Q Series to try to improve her status.
Lauren Stephenson finished T-2nd at the El Dorado Shootout, and takes over the Epson Tour points lead going into the final event of the season. Stephenson has already locked up a return to the LPGA Tour.
Spencer Turnbull was sent to Lehigh Valley on a rehab assignment today, marking his first outing since suffering a lat strain in June. Lehigh Valley’s season ended today, so this is Turnbull’s only tune-up before hopefully returning the the Philadelphia bullpen at some point in the playoffs.
Krystal Rivers and Stuttgart have won the Sparda-Bank SuperCup 3-1 (25-27, 27-25, 25-22, 25-16) over Schwerin. The preseason Cup pits the top two teams from the the previous Volley Bundesiga season.
