Jahmyr Gibbs broke a 70-yard touchdown run to get Detroit’s scoring started today. He became the first Lions player to produce rushing touchdowns of 45 or more yards in consecutive games since 1934, and the 70 yard run was the longest rushing touchdown for the Detroit Lions since 2011. Gibbs also became just the 4th player in NFL history to average at least 5.0 yards per carry in 6 straight games.

With today’s rushing touchdown, Derrick Henry became the first player in NFL history to score a touchdown in each of his first 8 games with a team.

Justin Thomas made only one bogey over the course of 72 holes at the ZOZO Championship, but had to settle for a -19, T-2nd finish. Thomas’ putter went cold on holes 7 through 17 today, where he had 11 straight pars, and that proved to be the difference.

Alex Reese made his NBA debut tonight with 1:53 left in Oklahoma City’s win over Atlanta. Reese scored a basket in his debut.
