The injuries have been piling up on the NBA front. Updates were provided on several former Alabama players today. Brandon Miller, who has been out with a left glute strain since opening night, had been upgraded to questionable on yesterday’s injury report, but was ruled out tonight after going through warmups. Herb Jones has been diagnosed with a right shoulder strain and small low-grade partial thickness tear in his rotator cuff after an in-game injury earlier in the week. He will be out 2-4 weeks. Collin Sexton suffered a left fourth finger Distal Interphalangeal joint avulsion fracture in last night’s game. He will continue to play as long as he can tolerate the injury.
Joe Namath’s historic knee brace has returned to the National Football Hall of Fame’s collection after undergoing a restoration process. The brace was the first functional knee brace used in the NFL.
Though he was waived by Oklahoma City this week, Alex Reese was named the inaugural “G of the Week” on the premiere episode of NBA G League Takeover.
