News
More milestones for Derrick Henry today. Henry scored the 100th and 101st rushing touchdowns of his career today, which moves him to 8th in NFL history. Henry passed Shaun Alexander (who had 100 rushing touchdowns) for the most rushing TDs by an Alabama player in the NFL. Henry also surpassed the 1,000 yard mark for the season, which is the 6th time that he’s reached that threshold in 9 seasons. And Henry scored his 10th and 11th touchdowns this season, marking the 7th straight season that he has reached the 10-touchdown mark.
Tua Tagovailoa was 25-for-28 passing today, for a career-best 89.3% completion percentage. Tagovailoa led a game-tying touchdown drive in the waning minutes of the game, but Buffalo would ultimately beat Miami on a 61 yard field goal as time expired.
Jalen Hurts threw for 234 yards and 2 touchdowns, and also ran for 67 yards and another touchdown, as Philadelphia held on to beat Jacksonville, 29-23. Hurts’ QB rating of 132.3 is the 4th best of his career (just behind last week’s 132.5 rating). In the four weeks since Philadelphia’s bye week, Hurts has posted QB ratings of 119.3 or better all four weeks (he was below 90.0 all four weeks prior to the bye week).
Jahmyr Gibbs ran for 65 yards on 11 carries, for an average of 5.91 yards per attempt. He’s the first player in NFL history to average 5.0 yards per attempt in 7 straight games.
Saketh Myneni and partner Ramkumar Ramanathan were victorious in the doubles finals at the ATP Siskey Seoul Open, a Challenger 100 event. Myneni and Ramanathan have won three titles this season, with the first two coming back in February, just before Myneni was sidelined for over six months (the Seoul tournament was Myneni’s second event since returning). Myneni now has 19 Challenger doubles titles, and 37 overall professional doubles titles.
