On the strength of a 66 in windy conditions, Justin Thomas (-17) takes a 1-stroke lead into the final round of the Hero World Challenge. Thomas is seeking his first PGA Tour win since the 2022 PGA Championship.
Rhyan White completed a successful week at the Toyota US Open Championships with a decisive win the 200 Yard Backstroke. For the week, White competed in 5 events, and qualified for the A Final in all 5 events. She finished with 2 wins (also won the 100 Yard Butterfly) and a second-place finish.
C.J. Mosley and Jedrick Wills were both placed on Injured Reserve by their respective teams today, which will in all likelihood end their seasons. Mosley has been limited to 4 games this season due to neck and toe injuries, while Wills has played 3 full games and parts of 2 others while dealing with knee injuries. Wills will be a free agent at the end of the season, and Mosley is a possible salary cap cut in the off-season.
Eryk Anders returned to the octagon at UFC 310 in Las Vegas tonight, and came away with possibly the biggest win of his MMA career. Anders defeated former middleweight champion Chris Weidman with a second-round TKO.
