As was widely expected, Nick Dunlap has won the 2024 recipient of the Arnold Palmer Award as the PGA Tour’s Rookie of the Year. Dunlap’s professional career started in January, when he won The American Express as an amateur. He would then win the Barracuda Championship in July, thus becoming the first golfer in Tour history to win both as an amateur and a professional in the same season. Dunlap received 57 percent of the vote among Tour members.
Christian Barmore has experienced a setback in his recovery from blood clots, and has been placed on the Non-Football Illness list by the New England Patriots. Barmore will be out for the remainder of the season.
Jerry Jeudy ended up in the news today as a side-story in an Athletic piece delving into the dysfunctionality of the New York Jets organization. According to the story, the Jets and Denver Broncos had a deal in place, which was nixed by Jets owner Woody Johnson due to Jeudy’s “low Madden NFL rating.”
Jermaine Burton has had limited kick return opportunities, but thus far has one of the best kick return averages in Bengals franchise history.
