News
Jahmyr Gibbs scored 4 touchdowns (3 rushing, 1 receiving) and posted 170 yards from scrimmage (139 rushing, 31 receiving) in Detroit’s 31-9 win over Minnesota. The win gives Detroit the 1-seed in the NFC draw of the playoffs. Gibbs finishes the regular season as the NFL leader in touchdowns, with 20.
Bryce Young threw for three touchdowns and ran for two more to lead Carolina to a 44-38 overtime win over Atlanta. Young is the first quarterback in Panthers history to pass for three touchdowns and rush for two touchdown in a single game, and he’s the youngest quarterback in NFL history to accomplish the feat with 250 or more passing yards.
Calvin Ridley had 76 receiving yards to surpass 1,000 yards on the season. Ridley now has back-to-back 1,000 yard season, and three for his career (all with different teams). Jameson Williams also reached the 1,000 yard mark today, giving Alabama 3 or more receivers with 1,000 yards for a third straight season.
J.D. Davison scored his 2,000th G League point and posted his second 40-point game of the season to lead Maine to a win over Birmingham. Davison also had a career-high 6 steals in the game.
J.K. Scott played in his 100th NFL game today.
