Patrick Surtain II has been named AP Defensive Player of the Year. Surtain picked up 26 first-place votes to win the voting in a landslide, and is the first former Alabama player to win the AP DPOTY award.

J.D. Davison posted his third career triple-double tonight – and did it in just three quarters. Davison had 28 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists, and did not play in the fourth quarter.
Lee Hodges (65, -6) and Justin Thomas (66, -5) are T-2nd and T-4th, respectively, after the opening round of the WM Phoenix Open.
Patrick Surtain II’s Defensive Player of the Year season was built on his relentless quest to continuously improve.
The Philadelphia Inquirer went back to DeVonta Smith’s hometown to learn about the heartbreak of Smith’s last championship game at the Superdome.
Chris Owens has been hired by TCU as an Assistant Director of Player Personnel.
Justin Thomas will have a role (presumably playing himself) in the upcoming Happy Gilmore 2.
