The New York Jets announced the release of team captain C.J. Mosley today in a move that will free up some salary cap space.
Hours after being officially released by Cleveland, Dalvin Tomlinson and the Arizona Cardinals agreed to terms on a two-year, $29 million contract. Tomlinson will have $16 million in guaranteed money.
Late tonight, Mac Jones and the San Francisco 49ers agreed to terms on a two-year, $7 million deal, with $5 million guaranteed. Jones can make up to $11.5 million with incentives. The 49ers had shown strong interest in drafting Jones at the 2021 NFL Draft.
With the NFL league year beginning today, teams could officially announce free agency deals negotiated over the past three days. Thus, the signings of Jonathan Allen, Ryan Kelly, and Najee Harris became official today.
