Sherman Williams has been named head football coach at Murphy High School in Mobile.
Wilson Furr has successfully Monday-qualified for a spot in the field in this week’s Houston Open. Furr was -7 through 16 holes, and would have been in a 5-for-1 playoff for the final spot had he finished par-par. Instead, Furr birdied 17 and eagled 18 to finish -10, for a share of medalist honors.
Justin Thomas and the Atlanta Drive GC won Match 1 of the TGL finals tonight, 6-5. Matches 2 and 3 (if necessary) are tomorrow night.
