Several Alabama Soccer current players and alumnae are getting call-ups for upcoming international matches. Reyna Reyes re-joins the Mexican National Team for upcoming matches against Jamaica. Nadia Ramadan joins Nedya Sewan as a call-up to the Egyptian National Team for a pair of friendlies next week. Also previously announced was Merel Van Dongen getting another call-up by the Netherlands. Additionally, Tanna Sánchez Carreto has been selected to participate in Mexico’s U-23 national team.
Jaala Torrence returned to the Rhoads House today as a volunteer assistant for Alabama State.
Javian Davis has been named player of the week in Portugal’s Liga Betclic for a second time this season.
In G League quarterfinal games, J.D. Davison and the Maine Celtics advanced over Kira Lewis and the Capital City Go-Go in the Eastern Conference quarterfinal game. Davison hit a career-high 7 3-pointers in the game. In the Western Conference, Jaden Shackelford and the Valley Suns defeated Braxton Key and the Santa Cruz Warriors, despite 30 points from Key.
J.D. Davison, for his part, has embraced the grind of being on a two-way contract and is on the cusp of being named G League MVP.
