Krystal Rivers’ storied volleyball career came to an unceremonious end today, as Stuttgart was eliminated in Game 3 of the Volley Bundesliga Frauen semifinals by Dresden, 2 matches to 1. Rivers was sidelined with an infection and was unable to play in the deciding match. Rivers ends her career with 4 league championships in 6 non-COVID seasons with Stuttgart, as well as a French title in her one season with Beziers.
Jalen Hurts has been named to the TIME’s 2025 TIME100 list, which is its annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world. Hurts was lauded for winning the Super Bowl after having lost in the championship game a couple of season searlier, as well as his many activities in the Philadelphia community.
Keon Ellis and the Sacramento Kings were eliminated tonight in the Play-In Round of the NBA playoffs.
