Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week – Justin Thomas (April 21, 2025)

Your Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week is Justin Thomas. Thomas sank a 21-foot birdie putt on the first playoff hole to win the RBC Heritage. The win was the 16th of Thomas’ career, and his first in almost three years.

Others of note:

Erin Routliffe won her second straight WTA doubles title, as she and Gabby Dabrowski won the doubles championship at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix.

Peyton Wilson was named Texas League Player of the Week after hitting .423 for the week with 6 extra-base hits and 8 RBI. Wilson now has a 14-game hitting streak.

Chris Robinson shattered his personal best in the Men’s 400 Meter by almost a second and a half at the Tom Jones Memorial. His time of 44.15 is the world lead in the event.

Benedetta Moresco finished a career-best T-11th at the JM Eagle LA Championship, and posted a career-low 65 in the final round of the event.

Mac Guscette hit .400 with 9 RBI, and also hit his first professional home run for Augusta.

Ben Hess had another 9-strikeout game in his start for Hudson Valley this week.

Greg Farone struck out 9 batters in 5 scoreless innings in his start for San Jose.

Javian Fleming-Davis had a 20 point, 16 rebound game for Imortal Albufeira.

Tevin Mack had 24 points and 14 rebounds for Al Ittihad in the last game of the West Asia Super League championship series.
