Kristian Gkolomeev has officially announced his retirement from competitive swimming. Gkolomeev’s career included 2 individual national championships and 1 relay championship at Alabama, 4 Olympics, a FINA world championship silver medal, a European Championships gold medal, 3 Mediterranean Games gold medals, and countless Greek championships. He last swam competitively at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

As part of Gkolomeev’s announcement (and as was reported here yesterday), he discloses that he’ll be competing in the Enhanced Games, an experimental competition which includes managed use of performance-enhancing drugs. Gkolomeev recently earned a $1 million bonus for swimming under the 50m Free world record in an Enhanced Games production.

Iridium Sports Agency, which manages Eryk Anders, announced that Anders’ next UFC fight will be against Chris Duncan on August 9.

Ally Shipman Shrout has been signed by the AUSL Talons for the upcoming AUSL season. Shrout, who will once again be teammates with Montana Fouts, will serve as a replacement while some players signed to the team compete in Japan.

Released by the Toronto Argonauts earlier this month, Taulia Tagovailoa has found a new home with the Hamburg Sea Devils of the European League of Football. Tagovailoa is expected to be Hamburg’s starter in place of Micah Leon, who will miss several games on Injured Reserve.

Collin Sexton and Mack Wilson are among the latest participants that have been confirmed as participants for the 4th Annual DeVonta Smith Celebrity Softball Game.

Nothing But a Winner, a new film delving into the history of Alabama Football, will be released on July 31. A sneak peak into the movie, which is produced by Caleb Castille and executive-produced by Marlon Humphrey and his sister Breona, was circulated on social media today.
