Racing in her first marathon as a professional athlete, Mercy Chelangat won the women’s division of the Ottawa International Marathon. Only 11 male runners had a better time that Chelangat’s 2:23:33.
Bud Cauley finished solo 3rd place at the Charles Schwab Challenge, which equaled a career-best finish on the PGA Tour. Cauley has now finished solo 3rd of T-3rd four times, with the most recent prior to today coming in January 2017 at the CareerBuilder Challenge. Cauley has now finished T-6th or better 4 times in 11 starts this season.
