The MLB Draft concluded today with Rounds 4-20 all being covered in one day. Kade Snell (5th round, Chicago Cubs) and Richie Bonomolo (7th round, New York Yankees heard their names called early today. Former Alabama players Colby Shelton, Antoine Jean, Kade Woods, Alton Davis, and Jaxson West were all also drafted today.
The New Orleans Pelicans offically announced the signing of Herb Jones to a multi-year contract extension.
Dylan Ray was named Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week, following his 6-scoreless-inning start last Friday. Ray has now picked up two Pitcher of the Week awards this season, having also received the Texas League Pitcher of the Week award back in May.
