In Memoriam
Legendary Alabama linebacker Lee Roy Jordan died today at the age of 84. Jordan was a member of the 1961 national championship team , and was a unanimous All-American in 1962. After being drafted in the first round in the 1963 draft by the Dallas Cowboys, Jordan won a Super Bowl championship after the 1971 season, and was named to 5 Pro Bowls. Jordan is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame, the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame, and the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor.

News
Two days after opting out of his contract with the Chicago Cubs organization, Spencer Turnbull signed a minor league contract with the Kansas City Royals. Turnbull was assigned to the Omaha Storm Chasers, where he will join Tyler Gentry and Peyton Wilson as teammates.
Dylan Ray struck out a season-high 9 batters in a combined shutout for Reno tonight. The 9 strikeouts matched a career high (which he did twice in 2023). Ray also recorded his third combined shutout this season.
Annika Zeyen-Giles followed up Thursday’s bronze medal the H3 Handbike Individual Time Trials with a bronze in the Road Race today at the UCI Paracycling Road World Championships in Belgium.
