News

McKinley Crone made her first career start in an NWSL regular season game for the Orlando Pride today, and recorded 4 saves in a 1-1 draw. Crone’s previous two starts for Orlando were in non-NWSL games (2024 Summer Cup and this season’s CONCACAF Women’s Champions Cup), and her previous NWSL appearance was in a relief role.

After spending two seasons on Injured Reserve (2023) and practice squads (2024), Cameron Latu is in line to finally make his NFL debut tomorrow. Philadelphia has elevated Latu from the practice squad for Philadelphia’s game against Kansas City.

Quanesha Burks advanced to tomorrow’s final round in the Women’s Long Jump at the World Athletics Championships.

Filip Planinsek closed out a successful Davis Cup debut, winning in both singles and doubles in Slovenia’s 3-0 win over Uruguay.
