Charlie Nikitas closed Stage 1 at PGA Tour Q School with a 65, to finish -15, 10th. He advances to the Second Stage. Thomas Ponder, Jonathan Hardee, and Canon Claycomb weren’t as fortunate. Ponder and Hardee missed advancing by one stroke each at their respective sites, while Claycomb was two strokes off the cut line at his site.
Jeremy Pruitt is seeking a preliminary injuction against the NCAA that would allow him to accept a job as an analyst with Jacksonville State University. Pruitt is currently under a show-cause restriction due to recruiting violations while he was head coach at Tennesee.
