The Denver Broncos reportedly do not plan to place Patrick Surtain II on Injured Reserve with his pectoral strain. Initially thought to be a 4-to-6 week injury, the Broncos’ plan to not use Injured Reserve is an indication that they believe the duration of the injury will be 4 weeks or less.
The Philadelphia Eagles have traded John Metchie to the New York Jets in exchange for defensive back Michael Carter. The teams also swapped 2027 7th round picks. Metchie was acquired by the Eagles from the Houston Texans at the end of training camp, but has played sparingly thus far in Philadelphia.
