Matt Foster, drafted by Leones del Escogido to reinforce the bullpen in the Dominican PBL Championship Series, pitched a perfect ninth inning to preserve a 1-0 Game 5 win to clinch the championship for Escogido. Foster pitched in 4 of the 5 games in the championship series.
Elsewhere, Matt Foster’s winter ball tour will go back to Mexico for at least another week. Foster was named to the roster of Charros del Jalisco for the upcoming Caribbean Series, which gets underway on Sunday.
