The new NFL league year kicked off at 4pm ET today, and many of the transactions reported earlier in the week are now being reported by the teams, includin the trade of Minkah Fitzpatrick and the releases of Jonathan Allen and Anfernee Jennings.
A’Shawn Robinson, who was released yesterday by Carolina Panthers, will be signing a one-year, $10 million fully-guaranteed deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Robison would have made $8.5 million with Carolina this season.
John Metchie, who was not tendered a qualifying offer by the New York Jets, has signed a one-year deal with the Carolina Panthers, where he will be reunited with Bryce Young.
In a somewhat surprising move, the New York Giants have announced the re-signing of Evan Neal. The previous coaching staff in New York did not put Neal on the field for a single snap in 2025, but new head coach John Harbaugh is eagar to work with Neal.
For the second straight game, Keon Ellis posted a new season high in points. Ellis scored 20 points tonight, on the strength of 5 3-point goals.
Kira Lewis scored a season-high 28 points for the Wisconsin Herd tonight in a substitute role.
Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio indicated that Jihaad Campbell will miss much of the Eagles’ off-season program while he recovers from shoulder surgery.

Jalen Hurts, whose children’s book Better Than a Touchdown was released this week, is doing a book-reading tour at schools and libraries.
