The WNBA held its expansion draft today to fill out beginning rosters for the incoming Toronto Tempo and Portland Fire. Both Aaliyah Nye and Sarah Ashlee Barker are on the move. Nye was selected by the Tempo with the 8th overall pick. Barker was selected 17th overall by the Fire.

Ben Hess opened his 2026 campaign by striking out the first seven batters that he faced. Hess would eventually match his career high with nine strikeouts over five innings of work.
