Mercy Chelangat, who just started running competitive marathons early last year, finished fourth in the women’s division at today’s Boston Marathon in a time of 2 hours, 20 minutes, 30 seconds. Not only was the time a personal-best for Chelangat, but it was also a NAZ Elite team record as well.
Colby Shelton has been named South Atlantic League Player of the Week. For the week, Shelton was 11-for-23, with 3 home runs and 14 RBI, with an on-base percentage of .556 and a slugging percentage of 1.043.
