Jim Jarvis was called up by the Atlanta Braves, and made his Major League Debut this afternoon in Seattle. Jarvis received the call at 1:00am this morning in Norfolk, and managed to catch a cross country flight this morning to reach Seattle in time to be inserted into the starting lineup. Jarvis was 0-for-2 at the plate, and was lifted for a pinch-hitter in the 8th inning. He did start a successful bases-loaded double play in the field.
The Charlotte Hornets announced today that Brandon Miller underwent successful surgery today to correct a shoulder instability related to an injury he suffered in the 2024-25 season. Miller wore a compression sleeve all season to protect the shoulder.
Colby Shelton has been named South Atlantic League Player of the Month for April 2026.
