Sarah Ashlee Barker scored a career-high 18 points to lead the Portland Fire to an 83-82 win over the Connecticut Sun.
Amy Pauly has been named Director of Player Personnel and Recruitment by Major League Volleyball. Pauly stepped down as head coach of MLV’s Orlando franchise late last week.
Matt Foster has been named Algodoneros de Unión Laguna’s player of the week. Foster picked up two saves and worked three scoreless innings over the last week.
Michael Thompson is in the field for this week’s Visit Knoxville Open (Korn Ferry Tour). Thompson hasn’t played in any tour event since the May 2023 Wells Fargo Championship, and has since been sidelined with injuries. Thompson was given a 15-start major medical extension in 2024, but has yet to use any of the starts.
