Jahmyr Gibbs and the Detroit Lions agreed to terms on a 3-year, $67.5 million contract extension, which could be worth up to $75.75 million with incentives. The contract will include $51.5 million in guaranteed money. Gibbs is now the highest-paid running back in NFL history, both in terms of average annual contract value and guaranteed money.
Earlier in the day, the Houston Texans and Henry To’oTo’o agreed to a 2-year, $16 million extension that will keep the linebacker off the free agent market.
Andrew Pinckney got his first major league start today in left field, and responsed with a home run in his second at-bat. Pinckney also recorded an outfield assist.
Kristen Gillman, sidelined all season after suffering an off-season injury, made her 2026 season debut on the Epson Tour today. Gillman showed signs of rust with a first-round 77.
