News

Justin Lebron made his professional debut today with the Dayton Dragons of the High-A Midwest League. Lebron started at shortstop and batted second, and got hits (a single and a double) in his first two at-bats.

Zaay Green signed a development contract today with the Toronto Tempo. Green was drafted by the Washington Mystics in the 2025 WNBA Draft but was released at the end of training camp. She has found success playing overseas in Lithuania, Cyprus, and Mexico earlier this year, and had previously signed to play in Croatia for the 2026-27 season (the Croatian season wouldn’t start until after the WNBA season concludes).

Robbie Ouzts, who has been sidelined with an undisclosed injury for most of training camp, was placed on injured reserve today, effectively ending his 2026 season. Ouzts suffered a neck injury in last season’s playoffs (which caused him to miss the Super Bowl), though it’s unclear if his current status is related to that injury.

Alana Gonçalo Da Silva has been called up for another Brazilian national team assignment – this time for a Los Angeles Olympics qualifying tournament to take place in Mexico next week.
