Derrick Henry rushed for 3 touchdowns today, increasing his career total to 125 rushing touchdowns. He passes Marcus Allen (123) for 3rd-most in NFL history. Henry now has 26 games with 100+ rushing yards and multiple rushing touchdowns, most in NFL history. Henry rushed for 144 yards on the day.

Jahmyr Gibbs received the highest workload of his career today (29 carries, 5 receptions), and responded with 186 yards from scrimmage (156 yards rushing, 30 yards receiving), and 2 touchdowns. Gibbs was credited with forcing 12 missed tackles, which is the most of his career, and he becomes just the 6th player in NFL history to score 50 touchdowns in his first 50 career games.

With Minnesota running a blitz-heavy defense today, Dallas Turner recorded 10 quarterback pressures, resulting in a career-high 7 quarterback hits.

Bryce Young threw for 361 yards and 3 touchdowns, and ran for another, in Carolina season-opening loss to Chicago. The passing yardage is the second-highest game total of Young’s career.

Among the players making NFL debuts today were Josh Cuevas, Tim Smith, Germie Bernard, Kadyn Proctor, L.T. Overton, Malik Benson, and Caleb Downs. Smith stands out because he spent all of last season in the Indianapolis organization, but was never active for a game.

Charlie Nikitas finished solo 2nd at the Digital Commerce Group Open, marking his career-best finish on the PGA Tour Americas. He moves into 11th place on the season points list, which puts him one slot behind the cut-off point for earning Korn Ferry Tour status in 2027.
