Several Alabama alumni came away from Week 1 of the NFL season with injuries that will require stints on Injured Reserve. In Atlanta, Da’Shawn Hand suffered a torn quadricep injury that will apparently require season-ending surgery (Hand will get a second opinion). In Houston, Henry To’oTo’o suffered a shoulder injury and will “miss some time,” according to head coach DeMeco Ryans. Reports are that To’oTo’o will be placed on Injured Reserve this week, which will result in him missing at least four games. Landon Dickerson, who has been dealing with a chronic knee injury that he was trying to play through, will reportedly be placed on reserve by the Philadelphia Eagles.
