Justin Thomas and playing partner Jackson Koivun won their best-ball match 4 & 3 at the openind day of the Presidents Club. Thomas is now 7-0-0 in his Presidents Cup career in the best-ball format, which ties him for the most wins without a loss or tie by a player in any format in Presidents Cup history
Tyler Gentry and the Kansas City Monarchs won the American Association championship with a three-game sweep of the Milwaukee Milkmen. Gentry, who was signed by the team on August 14 after having been released by the Detroit Tigers organization, finished the playoffs with 6 home runs.
The Rochester Red Wings rallied with two runs in the 8th inning to beat the Memphis Redbirds 3-2 in the final Game 3 of the International League championship. Andrew Pinckney figured in both runs. He doubled in the tying run with two out in the 8th, then scored the go-ahead run on a single. The Red Wings will now play the Pacific Coast League champions in a single-game Triple-A championship on Saturday.
Sasha Pickard was named to Liga Femenil’s Ideal XI (League’s team of the week) for Week 8. Pickard scored both goal’s in Santos Laguna’s 2-0 win over Cruz Azul. It’s her second such award this season.

Jalen Hurts was honored as an NFLPA Community MVP Runner-Cup for Week 2. Hurts was recognized for investing in a new HVAC system for a Philadelphia area high school.
