Alexa Guarachi and partner Desirae Krawczyk defeated Iga Świątek and Nicole Melichar in the French Open women’s doubles semifinal 7-6, 1-6, 6-4 in a two-and-a-half hour match. The duo will face 2-seeds (and defending champions) Timea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic. Guarachi is the first Alabama tennis player to reach a final at the French Open, and she joins 2-time grand slam finalist Ellis Ferreira as the only Alabama players to reach any grand slam final.
Rams coach Sean McVay announced today that Terrell Lewis will be activated prior to the Rams’ game on Sunday. Lewis had a procedure done on his knee late in training camp to check for a possible infection from a previous surgery, and had been on the Non-Football Injury list while he recovered from the procedure. He’ll be in line to make his NFL debut this weekend.
