Your Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week is Trey Mullinax. Mullinax birdied two of the final three holes to pull out a 1-shot win at the Korn Ferry Tour 2020 finale. The win caps off a comeback from a 2019 concussion suffered in a Pro Am that cost him his PGA Tour card, and puts him at 32nd in Tour rankings.
Runner-up this week is Alexa Guarachi. Guarachi reached the women’s doubles finals at the French Open, becoming the first Alabama women’s tennis player to reach the finals of a grand slam event. Guarachi jumps to 26th in the WTA rankings as a result of the run.
