News

Trey Mullinax led the Orange County National Championship after 54 holes, but found himself down a stroke with three holes to play. He sank a 40-foot birdie on 16 to regain a share of the lead, then birdied the final hole to win for the second time in his career on the Korn Ferry Tour. The win culminates a year-plus roller-coaster where he lost his PGA Tour card in part because of a concussion suffered in a Pro-Am event, and struggled early in the current Korn Ferry season (no Top 50s in first 6 events). Mullinax finishes the calendar year with 5 straight cuts made, including 3 Top 10s.

Alexa Guarachi’s historic doubles run at the French Open came to an end with a finals loss to defending champions Timea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic. Guarachi vaults to 26th in the WTA’s world doubles rankings as a result of reaching the finals.

Henry Ruggs scored his first career touchdown on a 72 yard pass play to help spark Las Vegas to an upset win over defending Super Bowl champions Kansas City.

Lauren Stephenson had her best finish of the season, a T-9th at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. It’s also her best career finish in an LPGA major.

Daniel Giddens made his professional debut today for NeuchΓ’tel, as the Swiss Basketball League opened its 2020-21 season.
